Personal Interior - home of Malin Persson
Aujourd'hui on visite la maison suedoise de la décoratrice d’intérieur Malin Persson, son mari italien Damiano et leurs trois enfants. Ensemble, ils ont rénové cette vieille bâtisse construite en 1908 en bordure de la mer froide
de Malmö.
Malin avoue ne suivre aucune règle, préférant mixer l’ancien et le contemporain,
dans un style éclectique.
"Selon moi, les maisons scandinaves
se ressemblent toutes, avec les mêmes affiches, les mêmes meubles, etc …
C’est joli, oui, mais impersonnel. Ça prend du temps de se
construire une maison avec une histoire, on ne peut pas le faire du jour
au lendemain, c’est quelque chose qui dure toute une vie…"
Today we visit the home of Swedish interior designer Malin Persson, her italian husband Damiano and their three children. Together they renovated this old building from 1908 beside the cold sea of Malmö.
Malin admits she doesn't follow any decorating rules, she prefers to mix the old with the new in an eclectic style.
"I think the Scandinavian homes are all alike, with the same posters, the same furniture, etc ... They're beautiful interiors, yes, but impersonal. It takes time to build a home with a story, you can't do it overnight, it's something that takes a lifetime ... "
